Nike officially released the Air Jordan XXXVII basketball shoes. The Air Jordan series has gone through its 37th year, becoming the longest-running shoe in the basketball shoe industry. The release of the Air Jordan XXXVII this year seems a bit low-key, and this is also the original intention of the Jordan brand when designing this pair of shoes, focusing more on the Nike Sports Research Laboratory (NSRL)’s research on the essence of basketball, thereby simplifying the complexity and focusing on improving the actual performance of the shoes.

The new Air Jordan XXXVII is clearly designed for athletes who want to have a flexible style of play. At the NSRL, researchers conducted in-depth research on the three key stages of sports jumping on the basketball court, namely contraction (Crash), loading (Load) and take-off (Launch), and then designed the various components of the Air Jordan XXXVII in a targeted manner. The deceleration and accumulation of power before take-off is called the contraction stage. The rear of the shoe is equipped with Formula 23 high-performance foam wrapped by a TPU module, which is both lightweight and elastic. It can quickly release the energy accumulated during contraction to the ground, providing players with light and fast foot feedback; the loading stage is the process of transferring energy from the heel to the midfoot. In order to ensure the stability of the feet, the carbon fiber plate midsole system has returned to the Jordan brand’s main model since the Air Jordan XXXII; and the final take-off stage is handed over to the powerful combination of the forefoot Zoom Air Strobel air cushion superimposed on the Zoom Air air cushion, bringing excellent rebound and explosive experience to the athlete’s feet.
